The Nevis Reformation Party’s (NRP) election petitions, which seek to strike out the results in two districts from last year’s Nevis Island Assembly election, will be heard in court at 10 am on February 15.

Justice Patrick Thompson will preside over the petitions that were filed by the NRP’s Jaedee Caines, who contested the Nevis One (St Paul’s) seat and Dr Patricia Bartlette, who contested the Nevis Two (St John’s) seat in the December 12, 2022 election.

Attorneys representing Caines and Bartlette and the respondents, which include Nevis’ Concerned Citizens’ Movement leader Mark Brantley, appeared in court on Monday for a virtual hearing.

Both Caines and Bartlette alleged that there were significant irregularities and they affected the election’s outcome.
