Ahead of VincyMas 2023, preparations are being made for the festival, in particular as it pertains to a location for Mas Bands to do their crafting.
Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves during an interview on NBC Radio this morning, said that he had held a meeting with the Mas Bands, and that while approximately fifty percent already had locations to operate from, others were still in need of places.
He said following this meeting, consultations were had with the Chief Surveyor to find appropriate accommodations.
“They came to me, some thirteen Mas Bands and six of them seem to have some place from which they could operate, perhaps a seventh, so let’s say roughly half or slightly more than half if you count the one which I say is a maybe will need space.
So while we were having the meeting I was talking to the Chief Surveyor—they’ll meet the Chief Surveyor about a possible location and the like. I am confident that we will get things in place,” the Prime Minister said.
Prime Minister Gonsalves said followings talks that he has had with several local artistes, he is confident that VincyMas 2023 is shaping up to be an exceptional event.
