A US company is inviting 100 Trinidadian teachers to explore teaching positions in the US.

Participate Learning, a US-based company, said in a release that it’s seeking to recruit 100 teachers locally and is willing to pay for housing and relocation.

Participate Learning is inviting up to 100 primary school math, social studies and science educators to apply for teaching positions in the United States and be recruited.

The company said the teachers are expected to have at least two years of experience in the classroom.

Participate Learning is a global professional development organisation that invests in teachers for five-year teaching stints in the US.

Since the pandemic, the company said the need to get teachers for schools in Virginia, North and South Carolina has become more urgent.

It said the current recruitment drive aims to bring to the US a diverse pool of effective teachers from the Caribbean. Jamaica is the only other country in the English speaking Caribbean being tapped into for educators.
