Facebook parent company, Meta is one of the organizations that have reached out following the announcement that St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ intention of exporting its culture digitally.

This was disclosed by Minister of Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development and Culture Carlos James during a press conference on Tuesday.

“Since we have made that announcement to explore the possibility of using augmented reality to export our culture we have had phone calls from persons in international organizations, such as the Organization of American States, Meta—I wouldn’t mention a telecommunications company headquartered  regionally, persons in the Diaspora in Canada, in North America, In Europe, even here locally within the Caribbean.” James said.

This possible digital exportation will enable those in the creative space to earn an income outside of the usual carnival period.
