Members of Trinidad and Tobago’s entertainment industry, who wish to leave the country to perform abroad and return home, will be granted travel exemptions.

The artistes will also be prioritised for COVID-19 vaccines.

Recently, the Trinbago Unified Calypsonians’ Organisation wrote to T&T’s Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh requesting special consideration for local musicians in the ongoing vaccination drive.

Speaking on Twitter Spaces last night, T&T’s Attorney General Faris Al-Rawi confirmed that Cabinet, on Wednesday, agreed on priority vaccination for artistes.

The conversation was hosted by Al-Rawi and included several members of the entertainment industry, including DJ and producer Travis World, soca artiste Sekon Sta, promoter and DJ Private Ryan and fete promoter Jules Sobion, son of former Attorney General Keith Sobion.
