Guyana’s Ministry of Health has said that two more persons have died after contracting COVID-19, taking the country’s death toll to 703.
According to Guyana’s health ministry, the latest fatalities are an unvaccinated 60-year-old male and a vaccinated 70-year-old female.They both succumbed while receiving care at a medical facility.
Additionally, Guyana’s Ministry of Health reported that 299 new cases were recorded from 1,794 tests conducted between September 14 and September 15. Those new cases took Guyana’s overall number of confirmed cases to 28,831.
Up to Thursday, there were 34 persons in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 156 in institutional isolation and 3,182 in home isolation.
