A male passenger has died on a Caribbean Airlines (CAL) aircraft which was en route to Barbados.

The aircraft was Jamaica bound. The passenger—who was between 35 to 45 years old—died during the flight yesterday.

Other passengers who witnessed what occurred told media that the man was discovered unconscious in the aircraft’s toilet.

They added that a doctor, who was on board the flight, assisted to revive the man who had been talking. But he subsequently died.

The plane made its scheduled stop in Barbados and was expected to continue to the US stops.

A statement from CAL read, “There was a medical emergency. The crew followed all the relevant operating procedures but regrettably the passenger expired, CAL extends condolence to the family and loved ones of the deceased.”
