Usain Bolt has claimed the gold medal in the 100 metre at the 2015 IAAF World Championships in Beijing, snatching the thrill of victory from rival Justin Gatlin and breaking the American’s 28-race win streak.

It marked the third 100 metre win for the Jamaican in the stadium where it all began at the 2008 Olympic Games.

But there was no world record for him this time – it was a moderate 9.79, his fastest of the year and 0.01 seconds faster than Gatlin, but the slowest of all his championship victories.
