Trinidad and Tobago’s Prime Minister Keith Rowley on Saturday announced the Government’s implementation of its vaccination policy for public sector workers has been delayed until mid-February.

The policy was originally intended to be put into effect today, Monday January 17th.

T&T’s prime minister also announced the establishment of a five-member team to investigate the factors contributing to the clinical outcomes of COVID-19 patients.

“I found five of our best and most appropriate people who have agreed to go into the hospitals across the board and look at what is going on there, talk to the staff, look at their data, look at it with a professional eye and come back and tell the country.” Rowley said.

It follows calls by the Joint Trade Union Movement (JTUM) for a panel of independent experts to be appointed to assess the accuracy of the statistics coming from the state.
