St. Lucia’s Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs has confirmed 104 new cases of COVID-19. These cases are from a total of 322 samples processed at the Ezra Long Laboratory. These cases bring the total number of cases diagnosed in country to date to 8322.

St. Lucia’s Health Ministry also reported two new COVID-19 deaths, taking their COVID-19 death toll to 106.

Also reported were the recoveries of 42 individuals from the virus.

St. Lucia was on Monday, moved from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC’s) Level 3 – high risk travel category to the level 4 – very high risk category.

The CDC is recommending that people should avoid travelling to destinations on the Level 4 list and if they must, they should be fully vaccinated first.
