Reggae artiste Queen Ifrica claims that her father ska legend Derrick Morgan sexually violated her years ago.

Queen Ifrica, who is known for one of her most popular songs ‘Daddy’ which addresses claims such as the one she is making now, took to Instagram Live over the weekend.

The reggae artiste in her live, speaking on the claims quoted her 2009 hit ‘Daddy’ including, “Can’t you see I’m scared? You’re supposed to be my father.”

Following the claims made by Queen Ifrica, her father, Derrick Morgan has said he will be taking legal action against his daughter Queen Ifrica for accusing him of rape.

The 83-year-old made the announcement in an Instagram post on Saturday.

According to Ifrica, she had an estranged relationship with him because of her mother, but reached out to him as an adult. She alleged that he raped her when she stayed at his Kingston home one night, inspiring her advocacy for domestic abuse survivors.

The alleged incident, she revealed, also inspired her 2009 hit Daddy, which tackles incest. Morgan struck back regarding the latter, sharing a video of a 2017 interview where Ifrica detailed how the song actualized.
