The payment of subsidies to Omnibus Operators to assist them during the COVID-19 pandemic has been postponed from Wednesday 6th May, 2020 when the subsidies were originally expected to be paid, to Tuesday 12th May, 2020, a delay of two days.

This is due to the fact that the appropriate paperwork had not yet been filed for the payment to be approved by the accountant general, as well as the fact that the agricultural traffickers usually utilize the Geese Shed, the location designated for subsidy payment on Mondays, making Tuesday the closest available date.

The Omnibus operators are expected to receive a minimum of 500 EC dollars, an increase on the initial figure proposed by the government.
