645 individuals who hold foreign passports have chosen to leave St. Vincent and the Grenadines since the explosive eruption of the La Soufriere Volcano.
A Royal Caribbean cruise line Celebrity Reflection which was made available by the US Government transported the largest amount of non-nationals.
Celebrity Reflection left SVG on April 17th and was bound for St. Maarten.
Prime Minister Dr. Hon. Ralph Gonsalves while speaking on radio said that of the over 1,000 people that have indicated their desire to evacuate the country, less than half of them are actually from the red and orange zones.
He said that for the most part, Vincentians have opted to stay in SVG.
