The National Emergency Management Organization, NEMO, will be assessing the damage caused by the recent heavy rains.

This is according to Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, while speaking radio on Wednesday. He expressed empathy with people who suffered losses as a result of the heavy rainfall that left several communities flooded.

“I just want to empathize and give solidarity with persons who have suffered personal, physical loss over the last few days as result of the very heavy rains. There has been some community and national facilities, particularly in the northeast where we have had some challenges.”

Dr. Gonsalves said work is being done at the Smart Hospital at Georgetown, which was also damaged by flooding.
