Strong Diplomatic ties between the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Taiwan continues to bear much fruit as both nations celebrate 40 years of diplomatic relations.

The most recent donation from Taiwan to this country came by way of 40 Oxygen Concentrators donated on August 9th, 2021, to the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment.

The Hon. St. Clair Prince, Minister of Health, Wellness and the Environment, in an address at the handing over ceremony stated that the relationship between Taiwan and SVG has contributed significantly to this country’s health sector.

Taiwan’s Ambassador, His Excellency Calvin Ho said the contribution was made to help solve together the challenges faced by COVID-19, as lung congestion is a main factor of the virus.

Ambassador Ho also applauded the resilience of Vincentians, following the recent eruption of the La Soufriere volcano.
