22 new COVID-19 deaths have been reported in Jamaica according to their Ministry of Health. 19 of the deaths occurred from January 11 to 21, while the other deaths occurred in September of last year.

Jamaica’s COVID-19 death toll now stands at 2594.

Also confirmed by Jamaica’s health ministry were 838 new cases, a decrease of 172 cases when compared to the 1010 cases that were recorded on Friday.

The newly confirmed COVID-19 cases brought the total number on record for the island to 119,565.

There are 102 moderately ill patients, 44 severely ill patients and 18 critically ill patients among 12,563 active cases now under observation in Jamaica.

A total of 486 patients are now hospitalised in Jamaica.
