Representatives of Virgin Atlantic announced on Tuesday 3rd November 2020 that they will begin service to St Vincent and the Grenadines in June of 2021.

“We are honoured to be here and formerly announced that Virgin Atlantic is launching flights from London Heathrow into St. Vincent in June 2021, two flights a week with our Airbus 330 aircraft with amazing product in upper class.

Virgin Atlantic was established 36 years ago by Sir Richard Branson who is of course a very well known entrepreneur, who lives very close by on Necker Island, so the Caribbean has always been a crucial part of Virgin Atlantic’s history and we’re always looking for new destinations and new opportunities and when our teams looked into and discussed the opportunity we’ve seen here in St. Vincent, it is an amazing opportunity.” The Chief Commercial Officer of Virgin Atlantic Juho Jarvinen said at a press conference held on Tuesday November 3rd 2020.

Mr. Jarvinen said that they believe this to be perfect timing and that after the emergence from the COVID-19 crisis there will be a lot of travelers from Europe as well as those in the diaspora that will be looking to visit SVG via direct flights.

Flights to St Vincent will be on sale from November 24th 2020.
