Thirty children between ages 8 and 12 are scheduled to participate in a “Summer Baking Class for Kids” next month.

The programme from August 13-17 will be held at the North Union Learning Resource Centre from 9:00am to 12:30pm daily.

It is a collaborative initiative between VincyKlus Inc. and one of its members – Valkelly Investments.

This summer programme will seek to introduce and equip children with basic skills in baking various treats such as cakes and pastries that they love, while also using some locally produced ingredients in the process.
It will also teach and bring children together to learn how to work in teams.

VincyKlus Inc. is an agro-processing cluster established in 2008 under the CED Business Gateway Project that seeks to improve agricultural (rural households) livelihoods by strengthening linkages within the agri-business value chain and increasing return to agro-processors.

Valkelly Investments is a dynamic coconut oil manufacturing enterprise located at North Union that specializes in the production of natural flavoured coconut oils.

Parents who are interested in getting their children into the programme can contact VincyKlus Inc. at 451-2235/6 or 526-1272. They can also email [email protected].
