Three men have been arrested and charged for burglarizing a school here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

According to police, on Monday March 25th, 22-year-old Romano Jacobs, 20-year-old Omarie Jacobs, and 25-year-old Jeron Cockburn, were arrested and charged with the Offence of Burglary.

Investigations revealed that the trio went into the St.Clair Dacon Secondary School Canteen as trespassers between 5:30 pm on March 18th and 4:30 a.m. on March 19th and stole a quantity of items, amounting to a total value of $1,150.00 ECC.

The trio was also charged for entering the same building between 5pm on March 20th and 4:30 am on March 21st and stealing a quantity of items valued at $2,586.55 EC – The property of a 62-year-old vendor of Diamond.

Police say that entry was gained by force opening a wooden door on the southern side of the building.

All three are expected to appear before the Kingstown Magistrate Court to answer the charges.
