On November 1st, 2020, St. Vincent and the Grenadines will assume the presidency of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for one month ending November 30, 2020. This is SVG’s first and only presidency during the country’s stint on the council and forms part of the SVG’s responsibility as a non-permanent member.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ presidency of the United Nations Security Council, during the month of November, aims to address contemporary challenges which include: Pandemics, Environmental Challenges, Climate Change and its security consequences and the Nexus between Development and Peace and Security.

On November 2nd at 1:00 pm there will be a press briefing conducted by Dr. Hon. Ralph E. Gonsalves, Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and will be streamed live on the Facebook pages of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Commerce and the Permanent Mission of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to the United Nations.
