The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Red Cross Society has donated three portable generators to the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF). The handing over of the generators took place at the police headquarters in Kingstown where president of the SVG Red Cross Society, Mr. Bernard Morgan and Commissioner of Police Mr. Colin John were present.

Mr. Morgan said “as part of the national emergency management system in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the SVG Red Cross Society is always happy to support and partner with the police in improving the security situation in our communities.”

Commissioner John thanked the Red Cross for their donation, and in doing so noted the timeliness of the donation with it being hurricane season. He said that generators will be of great assistance to police in responding to emergency situations that tend to arise during this time period.
