St. Vincent and the Grenadines recorded two (2) new COVID-19 cases, with the receipt of results from the CARPHA Public Health Lab.

One (1) case arrived on the AA 945 flight on Saturday July 11, 2020, and is a contact of a positive case on that flight. The second case, detected on entry screening, arrived from St. Lucia on Sunday July 19th, 2020.

Both persons are in isolation, and the process of contact tracing and informing has commenced.

Eight (8) persons were classified as recovered after the verification process. St. Vincent and the Grenadines therefore currently has fifteen (15) active COVID-19 cases.

A total of fifty-two(52) COVID-19 cases have been recorded with thirty-seven (37) recoveries and zero (0) deaths.

The importance of  strict compliance to all quarantine and isolation orders is paramount. It is only by complying with these orders and the use of masks in public spaces that the spread of COVID-19 can be controlled in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
