Repairs on the Mayreau jetty are set to commence in the first quarter of this year. This information came via a written response from the Management of the Port Authority that was read by the Minister of Urban Development Hon. Julian Francis, during the House of Assembly last week.

“The Chief Executive of the SVG Port Authority is advised that the repairs of the Mayreau jetty are scheduled to begin in the first quarter od 2021. The duration of the project has been estimated at three months.

The scope of works include but are not limited to the following: construction of a disposal area, demolition and removal of failed concrete deck slab, fabricate and install load deck, installation of solar lighting, installation of fenders and bollards.

The engineering estimate stands at approximately $79,000.”
