Members of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) while executing their duty in enforcing the COVID-19 protocols as it pertains to funerals have faced criticism by attendees. This is according to this country’s Prime Minister Dr. Hon. Ralph Gonsalves.
“The report the commissioner gave me in relation to the sergeant who was in charge down there, reported that persons were in the funeral throwing words at him that he’s trying to prevent them from honouring the dead and he had to point out to them that he would very much like them, while they’re honouring the dead, to respect the living.
We will have hiccups from time to time but I think the police are alive to the issue and I want to commend them for correcting the error which was made on the ground in Barroullie a week earlier.” He said.
