The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of Romano “Carpie” Thomas, 29 year old labourer of Mckie’s Hill.
According to an official release from the RSVGPF at about 6:38 PM on Sunday August 15th, an unknown person, armed with a gun, shot Thomas multiple times about his body. He was subsequently rushed to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital for medical attention, but succumbed to his injuries on the morning of Monday August 16th.
A post mortem examination is expected to be conducted on the deceased to ascertain the exact cause of death.
