Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Ralph Gonsalves during a call to the Issues at Hand program, made known, his intention to pursue legal action against two newspapers and a radio station for articles and broadcasts that Prime Minister Gonsalves says defamed him, when they claimed that he had “turned the police against the people”.

“Friday, of course, said it in a very long winded way, but the entire paragraph in his speech at the press briefing on Saturday the 7th, which was on NICE Radio, where he specifically spoke about Ralph Gonsalves and others who are “intimidating the people and all Vincentians and intimidating them and all they do is just disagree with me””.

“Well if I intimidate people by using the police and locking up people and so, I’ll be guilty of misbehavior in public office. I don’t have anything to do with that; the police do their work. I don’t tell the police who to search, who to lock up or anything like that, I don’t get involved with that.

The NEWS Newspaper published that, and I will sue them too. His broadcast came over on NICE Radio, I will sue them too. The article which was published in the Vincentian, I will sue the person and the Vincentian”. He said.

  1. Not even Donold Trump sued anyone for what was said about, he must be the only head of state in the world that sue every Tom, Dick and Harry for what they say. The women across the river never sued him for defamation of character
