Prime Minister Dr. Hon Ralph Gonsalves during an address to the nation yesterday provided an update on the national ash cleanup, specifically making mention of Chateaubelair and Fitz Hughes.
“We have cleaned up in the orange zone; the yellow zone and the orange zone save and except for Fitz Hughes and Chateaubelair, they’re cleaning up right now in Chateaubelair. Between this week and next week, they should finish both Chateaubelair and Fitz Hughes.”
Gonsalves said that the cleaning of the ash across the nation is a long process which will require more individuals to be hired; as well as the hiring of more companies to assist with cleaning and equipment. Prime Minister Gonsalves gave the assurance that all this will be done.
