According to the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO)’s Health Services Subcommittee’s most recent COVID-19 report 14, new laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been recorded from 269 samples processed on Monday June 14th, 2021, resulting in a positivity rate of 5.2%.
20 new confirmed COVID-19 recoveries were also confirmed by the Health Services Subcommittee, bringing confirmed COVID-19 recoveries in St. Vincent and the Grenadines to 1,920.
Active cases of the virus stand at 240, with related deaths at 12.
2,172 laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in country since March of 2020.
NEMO, in its release reminded that; persons who persist in incorrect or no mask use, remain unvaccinated and participate in mass gatherings will continue to be at risk for being infected and spreading COVID-19.
