Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves is in Guyana for a four-day Official Visit.
A statement posted on the official Facebook page of Guyana’s President Dr. Irfaan Ali said Gonsalves returned to Guyana on the same flight from Brazil yesterday afternoon at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA), Timehri,
In a report, the Department of Public Information (DPI) reported that the two leaders were in Brazil for the inauguration of President Luiz Lula da Silva.
They were received by senior Government officials, including Prime Minister Mark Phillips and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Elisabeth Harper, among others.
Gonsalves is expected to meet with President Ali and several Government Ministers to discuss a number of areas of cooperation.
He visited Guyana last year for the inaugural Agri-Investment Forum and Expo.
