Dr. Ralph Gonsalves

This country’s Prime Minister Dr. Hon. Ralph Gonsalves during his address to the nation on Tuesday expressed his dissatisfaction with bureaucratic inertia and mismanagement within the government.

“We must not have bureaucratic inertia or mismanagement, we can’t be making elementary errors both actively or even just leaving them and letting them slide” Gonsalves said.

The Prime Minister then addressed an issue where auxiliary officers had not been paid after three months.

“What creates problems very often is people at different levels don’t know what they have to do.

So that if the police hire additional persons to work as auxiliary police; between the police and the office of the permanent secretary in the Ministry of National Security, sure the paperwork can be done on a timely basis to make sure that they get their money. It’s not acceptable that people after they done work, have to fight to get their money? No man!” The Prime Minister said.
