Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Ralph Gonsalves during a call to the Issues at Hand program on Sunday discussed the new initiatives that the Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (BOSVG) will be introducing to its customers.
“Under the umbrella of our own digital banking offerings, the bank of St. Vincent will be currently introducing its own branded digital/virtual wallet product called the bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines “BOSVG i-wallet”. This is right now being currently tested and is expected to be available to customers in the fourth quarter of this year”. He said.
Prime Minister Gonsalves then goes on to discuss the rollout of D-Cash the digital version of the EC currency.
“Of course, as you know, we are in the final stages of implementing the rollout of the digital currency/wallet, D-Cash offered by the central bank; and this too should be rolled out to the customers in the weeks ahead”. The Prime Minister said.
Prime Minister Gonsalves emphasized the needs for fresh initiatives in these precarious times.
