A Medical Mission from St. Vincent and the Grenadines consisting of 5 Mass Casualty Management trained Registered Staff Nurses has been sent to Dominica.

This support organized by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment in collaboration with the Pan American health Organization (PAHO), comes following the recent devastation caused by tropical storm Erica.

The Nurses left St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Saturday September 5th for St. Lucia and were transported by boat to Dominica yesterday.

Communications Officer in the Ministry of Health, Neeka Anderson-Isaacs said in a statement that the Nurses will provide technical assistance in the health care facilities and the emergency shelters established to house those displaced by the storm.
