This country’s Minister of Tourism, Sustainable Development, Culture, and Civil Aviation, Hon. Carlos James, while appearing as a guest on VC3’s Roundtable Talk, in response to a question from a viewer, discussed the possibility of provisions being made for water sports on mainland St. Vincent, not only for the benefit of tourists but for the citizens of SVG as well. We hear more from the Tourism Minister:

“That’s something we really have to look into at some point, perhaps we can explore the idea of zoning the areas where we can have water sport activities. It’s something I’m open to. I will see whether the government is interested in moving in that direction.

Minister James that he saw water sports as something that give SVG’s Tourism industry a boost.

“It’s something that can boost the industry and economy. I’m open to suggestions and ideas of how we can build the tourism product and the brand of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.”
