A family has been left mourning, following the death of a 7 year old student, whose life was claimed by a vehicular accident yesterday.

According to a report from Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) an investigation has been launched into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The Police report states that 40 year old chauffeur of Chateaubelair Mr. Leron Gordon, was driving motor vehicle H-6405 from Chateaubelair heading towards Kingstown.

At about 7:15 a.m. while driving along the public road in Kertons, Barrouallie, motor vehicle H-6405 collided with Jaden Bobb, a seven-year-old student of Barrouallie, who was a student of the School for Children with Special Needs. Jaden was in the company of his grandmother at the time of the accident.

Bobb was taken to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital for medical treatment where he later succumbed to his injuries. Mr. Gordon is in police custody assisting with investigations.

This is the fifth fatal accident recorded for in St. Vincent and the Grenadines for 2021.
