The death toll in Guyana from the COVID-19 climbed to 78 on Sunday after two patients died earlier during the day.
The Ministry of Health said that two women, ages 55 and 45 died while receiving care at a medical facility. Both women are from Region Four.
Their deaths follow that of two men who died from the disease on Saturday night.
The authorities said that a 36 -year-old and a 45-year-old man died while receiving care at a medical facility. They were also from Region 4.
Guyana has recorded 37 deaths so far in September.
