Former Spice Girl Mel B is one of four Tourism Ambassadors named by the Nevis Tourism Authority for 2022.
According to a statement issued by the NTA, “Nevis Ambassadors are projected to showcase the island’s tourism offerings from their own unique perspective via editorial content, social networks and interviews among other media platforms.”
Mel Bs appointment the tourism authority said, is one of many initiatives meant to raise the island’s profile as a holiday destination.
The father of the former Spice Girl was born on Nevis. She visited the island as a child and again in 2019 when she returned to pay respects to her grandmother who died at the age of 107.
Commenting on her appointment, Mel B said that she feels incredibly honoured to be asked to be an ambassador for Nevis, saying that Nevis is not just part of she comes from but is part of who she is.
