Education is the most important part of bilateral relations between St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the Republic of China (Taiwan). This is the belief of Taiwan’s ambassador to SVG Peter Sha Li-Lan.

He was at the time discussing the increase in the number of scholarships being offered to Vincentians by the Government of Taiwan, and how high level talks between the leaders of the two nations lead to an expansion of the education cooperation between the two nations.

“I always argue that education is the most important part of our bilateral co operations between our two countries.” He said.

Ambassador Sha Li-Lan said following high level talks between SVG and Taiwan held last year there has been an expansion of the education co operation between the two nations.

Taiwan’s Ambassador said, as a result of this dialogue it was decided that from this year until the year 2025 there will be an increase of 10 scholarships every year.
