Deaths related to COVID-19 in Trinidad and Tobago have declined significantly with five fatalities recorded on Monday marking a toll of 822 to date.
This comes on the heels of high single and double-digit-mortalities reported over the past few weeks.
The persons were three elderly males, one elderly female and one middle-aged male with comorbidities.
In addition, 145 individuals have been confirmed to have the disease from samples taken between June 24 and June 27 with positive cases jumping to 32,343.
Currently, there are 7,351 active cases of the virus.
Recoveries have climbed to 24,170 as 49 persons have been discharged from public health facilities and 248 positive individuals in the community have been rehabilitated.
Moreover, 211,363 individuals in T&T have received their first vaccine dose while 72,653 others have gotten both shots.
