7 new COVID-19 cases and 2 recoveries reported in SVG

7 new laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in St. Vincent and the Grenadines from a total of 237 samples processed on August 8^th and 9^th, 2021. Two of the new cases are imported cases from St. Lucia and the United States of America.

Also recorded were an additional 2 confirmed COVID-19 recoveries, bring the total number of COVID-19 recoveries in country to 2,244.

Active cases of the virus now stand at 50, with related deaths still at 12.

Since March of 2020, a total of 2,306 laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Vaccination numbers according to the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 update dashboard, stand at 25,782 total vaccines administered, 15,774 being first doses and 10,008 being second doses.
