Jamaica’s Ministry of Health and Wellness is reporting 179 new cases of COVID-19.
There also three COVID-19 deaths recorded, bringing the overall coronavirus death toll in Jamaica to 1,803.
The deceased are two males, aged 63 and 65, from St Catherine; and an 89-year-old female from Kingston and St Andrew.
At the same time, the separate deaths of seven COVID-19 patients are under probe by Jamaican heath authorities.
There were also 236 recoveries on the day, bringing the overall tally to 51,357.
The newly confirmed COVID-19 cases brought the total number on record for the island to 80,959.
There are 124 moderately ill patients, 97 severely ill patients, and 43 critically ill patients among the 27,249 active cases now under observation in Jamaica.
