According to NEMO’s Health Services Subcommittee most recent COVID-19 report, 119 new laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been recorded here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Active cases of the virus now stand at 602.
Also confirmed by Health Services Subcommittee’s report, was SVG’s 17th COVID-19 death.
The deceased is a 74 year old male who died on September 20th, 2021 of COVID-19 related acute myocardial infarction. He tested positive for COVID-19 on September 19th. The deceased had a known underlying condition and was unvaccinated.
The number of patients admitted for COVID-19 at the Argyle Isolation Facility continues to rise, now standing at 23, of that number 22 are unvaccinated and one partially vaccinated.
Four new confirmed COVID-19 recoveries were reported, taking SVG’s total number of recoveries up to 2,345.
Since March of last year a total of 2,964 laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
