Several people had to be taken to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital for treatment over the weekend following the 11 vehicular accidents reported in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

This was confirmed by Corporal King of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force’s Traffic Department on WEFM’s Traffic Talk program earlier today, Monday February 27th.

“We had a total of 11 reported accidents, 11 reported accidents. I know we had one in the Colonaire district, one in the Biabou district, three in the Kingstown district and six in the Calliaqua district,” Corporal King said.

He said of the 11 accidents over the weekend, two resulted in persons being injured and needing to seek medical attention at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.

“Two of those accidents were with injuries, we had one pedestrian, she would have sustained mild injuries about her body, she was treated at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital and discharged. We had one accident along the Villa public road where several passengers in an omnibus sustained injuries about their body, they also were treated at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital and later discharged,” the Corporal said.

Corporal 374 King noted that this was a high percentage of accidents to have occur over the weekend.
