Local and Regional Delegates are converging at Beachcombers Hotel at Villa from Monday for a series of meetings of the Caribbean Climate Outlook Forum (CariCOF).

The meetings are being held to deliver climate forecasts for the Hurricane Season and to train Meteorologists and Climatologists.

The Caribbean Climate Outlook Forum (CariCOF) seeks to develop appropriate climate services, tailored to the Caribbean region to support the goals of climate variability and change adaptation and disaster risk reduction.

Monday’s session is a Wet/Hurricane Season-Seasonal Forecast Training Workshop.

Tuesday’s program will take the form of a training exercise for local and regional media personnel and other stakeholders and will be addressed by Minister of Agriculture, Saboto Caesar.

The training will be conducted by well-known NBC Television Meteorological presenter, John Morales at the Beachcombers Hotel at 8:30 am.

An Official Opening Ceremony will take place on Wednesday May 31 at 8:30am and will be addressed by Prime Minister, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves.
