The notion that this country’s state owned electricity company is for sale is absolutely false.
This is according to CEO of the Company – Thornley Myers, I Witness News reports.
The chatter on the issue emerged as members of this country’s parliament was debating the arrangements for geothermal development here.
Under the proposals, VINLEC is to purchase energy from two companies involved in the geothermal harnessing here – Emera and Reycjavic Geothermal and resell it to consumers here.
