Persons in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, who have not yet obtained the new Identification (ID) Card, are being advised to do so, even though they do not need an ID card to be eligible to vote in the December 9th, 2015 general elections.

In an interview with WEFM News on Friday, Supervisor of Elections, Sylvia Findlay-Scrubb said that having an ID card is very important, since it helps to speed up the voting process, and makes the process much easier.

Mrs. Findlay-Scrubb says that in the absence of an ID card, other approved photo identification such as a driver’s licence and a valid passport will be accepted on Election Day.
