Police have arrested and charged Joland Butler, a 36 year old Truck Driver of Colonarie for Criminal Assault.
According to investigations, on May 2, 2018 at 02:10pm at Colonarie, Butler assaulted Coleen Thomas, a 46 year old Shopkeeper of Colonarie “By pointing a cutlass in her face”, with intent to commit and offence of “Bodily Harm”.
Butler appeared before the Colonarie Magistrate Court on June 7, 2018 and pled not guilty to the charges. The matter was adjourned to June 21, 2018 for hearing.
Meanwhile, Police have arrested and charged Frank Alexander, a 63 year old Security Guard of Mayreau for Wounding.
According to investigations, on May 18, 2018 at 11:00pm at Mayreau, Alexander unlawfully and maliciously wounded Fitzallan Compton, a 44 years old Labourer of Mayreau “By striking him on his head with a Hairoun case”.
Compton appeared before the Union Island Magistrate Court on June 7, 2018 and pled guilty to the charge. He was fined $400 to be paid in the period of one month.
