The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police (RSVGPF) have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Shane Cabral, a 24 year old labourer of Glen that occurred about 9:06pm on Wednesday April 21st.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased was in an area of Glen when he was approached and shot multiple times by two (2) unknown masked gunmen.

The Police upon arrival met the deceased motionless and unresponsive with what appeared to be gunshot wounds about his body. The District Medical Officer (DMO) was summoned and he pronounced the body dead at the scene. The motive surrounding the shooting incident is unknown at the moment.

A post-mortem examination will be conducted on the body of the deceased.

Cabral’s death marks the twelfth homicide for the year 2021.
