St. Vincent and the Grenadines has extended official congratulations to Taiwan’s President-Elect William Lai Ching-te and Vice-President-Elect Hsiao Bi-khim on their victory in elections held on January 13th 2024.
An official release from the Office of the Prime Minister lauded Taiwan’s Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), saluting its leaders, members and supporters.
The release also commended the people of the Republic of China (Taiwan) for their exemplary, peaceful, and thoroughly democratic elections.
“The government and people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines look forward to a further strengthening of our excellent relations with the government and people of the Republic of China (Taiwan).” The release states.
Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves has signaled his intention to attend the formal swearing-in ceremony of Taiwan’s President-Elect.
