Students throughout St. Vincent and the Grenadines returned to the classroom today with the encouragement to begin this new academic year with renewed vigor and eagerness.

Minister of Education Girlyn Miguel, in her Back to School Message took the time to specifically appeal to students who are now entering Secondary School to stay focused, work hard and resist any temptation to waste time in class.

Minister Miguel is also appealing to Principals and teachers to be professional every step of the way and to ensure that ALL students are afforded the appropriate experiences needed to perform at their maximum.

She also called on parents to be supportive of their children, and to dialogue with teachers, support school functions and help to create a caring, positive school climate.
