This past Sunday on the Issue At Hand program aired on WEFM, Mr. Stephen Joachim who was a guest on the program, discussed vaccination in SVG and how it has been hampered by the country’s political divide. A solution Mr. Joachim suggested for this issue is for political leaders to cooperate to remove politics from the situation.
“What we really needed is to see Ralph Gonsalves and Friday, getting together very publically and saying “guys this is not a political issue, this has nothing to do with politics”” he said.
Mr. Joachim said that more cooperation is needed between the two parties and that not enough of that cooperation is seen.
Vaccination numbers in St. Vincent and the Grenadines currently stand at just over 18,000.
